Years ago now, I made shame and guilt walk the plank. No arrrggg, Matey. No pirate push. Just nodded to them to go of their own useless accord as they simply had to go.
Why?
Well, at 23 the child became the parent of the adult. That didn’t loose my parents from me, nor my Mentor~Tormentors. They simply applied for citizenship within. And, on that day, my parents did not become colleagues. On that day, they became friends. Parents aren’t there to be your friend. They are there, to be your parents. Much like your friendly, neighborhood Psychologist. Parents and Psychologists = Self-Phoenix-Makers.
You see, at 42, across the Ebenezer Transit (credit Eric Pride, Consulting Astrologer) — Transiting Neptune crosses Natal Neptune. At that point in life, across the steps in the journey across the place of that time, it happened again. Phoenix. I molted again. The snake, my skin shedded. Was again the snake, my skin not missed. There’s no need to forgive. Ever. Sure, I forgive, and here’s about how it goes. Remember, I am a gardener, and on occasion, a Soul Gardener. I do not trim weeds with scissors. I remove them lie a Shaman exits terrors from your psyche. First, out by the roots to the trash, and also the guilt-by-association ground that was converted around them. Then, amend the soil. Pour not alluvium, Pout ablution-soil in. Pat softly. Water it in. Add some more like a comforting blanket for good measure.
Then, pause. Breathe as you kneel there thankful. Thankful for the opportunity you took to face that little terror called a weed, a psychic weed. Sometimes, it only take a good finger thump to upset their controlling orbit, and a subtle-nudge-second-push to jettison them out to the nearest black hole. That’s my kind of psychological delegation. It is connected to Nature, and the Universe. Nods to that. Big, Abrazos nods to that.

Odds are, you have much golden splendor within just waiting to flow up and fill the cracks and fault lines, self-created or otherwise… to fill them with the connections and wisdom born of experience rather than motion-limiting scars that are owned by the internal property management company called Shame & Guilt, LLC. Ever notice the limited liability of an LLC? Seems a bit tentative and weak to me. Incorporate. Or, don’t. Can you incorporate YOURSELF into your life more. Can you just incorporate yourself into your life outright over time?

And, for all of you out there in toxic relationships out there, I share my empathy and sympathy with you ONLY if you remove yourself from there without harming yourself or causing more harm to you. If you don’t, that’s yours. Hopefully, that will piss you off enough to say FUCK YOU JORDAN which at least pressurizes you enough to turn to your Tormentor and with just a look scare the piss out of them. The 1st step to address a predator is to not be their food.

Forgiveness? Apologies? Sure. I do not care about what you say you are going to do. I care about what you do. At the end of time, at eternity, if you remember, then remind me. Don’t forget them, though wasn’t it ultimately, and hasn’t it been, and isn’t it right now YOU that are the only one saving yourself? Cool. Emancipation is a word. You deserve more. I found that once shame an guilt walked the plank, it was only a matter of 3 years until I was able to connect with people deeply… and, not lose myself in the process… because they would hold a cupped hand and lift me up when I fell… so I could keep supporting myself and stay pressurized… on my own… better… with them.

Worried about going to Hell? Ha! Don’t be. It’s run by an androgyne fallen Seraphim who still lives in his Pop’s basement. I find personal hells to be far more terrifying. I do not think the O in the middle of the top of the card is a zero. I don‘t think it is a number at all or the concept of zero. One, all the other numbers are at the bottom. Certainly, a number 0 at the top could be a telling anomaly, like the head of the ouroboros’ (uroburos) potentiality to bite its tail prior to the tail forming, a “nothing about the caterpillar tells it about the butterfly“ kind of thing, though, I grimace at that with a pretty hefty ‘Nope.’
So, what do I feel from an artist’s perspective? Well, Pamela Coleman-Smith designed the Rider Waite Smith (RWS) Tarot cards. And, I feel the O at the top of The Fool in the RWS is a Day Sky Full Moon. I think that goes a long way to include everything in the card like a whole oak tree in an acorn. The Sun. The Day Sky Full Moon. The elements. The Archetypes all in an unseen place beyond much like the Buddhist Concept of the Disappearing Path indicated by the cliff’s edge right in front of the Fool. Then, all of the unseen things are seen, and the whole oak tree of the deck is in the acorn of The Fool.
How does the O in the top middle of this card image land for you as a Day Sky Full Moon? No need to research this. You won‘t find any attributions as the idea is mine, a personal, Tarot acorn so to speak. My Fool sees the world from the moon, so the earth is what waxes and wanes and is New and is Full through cycles for the Mystereum Fool. How does the O as a Day Sky Full Moon land for you?

Enjoy the comparisons between my original Tarot in the Land of Mystereum card images and their simplified line drawings dialed down to the minimal to embrace the essence, though allow the process to work to be etched corrosively with saltwater, electricity, and a little ingenuity in a process Isaac Bradfield and I crafted. The Jupiter clouds of orange and blue and green that swirled in the clear vessel diode eclipsed the copper plates in color strata indicating what was happening as the process took place, like a womb-cloud until we intuitively called time, repeating until the process was a recipe of the alchemical operations set in time to dial it in… and then came the true test. What would come out in the end? A waste of copper? Well worth the risk.
I viscerally remember watching that creative cloud doing its thing. Wonderment. Curiosity. Don’t get too close and take any deep breaths around it, either. It was so cool to work this process, toxic as heck to yield Jupiter’s treasures of the earth, copper, in Tarot Birth Cards.
Comfortabilty with your earthly desires. Mind that the omissions of inhibitions enslave as easily as the tantrums of excess.

So, I am going to begin posting some blogs about the abuse that men experience. In this current environment where we clearly see how women have been put down and stamped down and downtrodden for just about ever, I feel it important to keep the magical mix in the crucible aligned with The Temperance card, the Both-And card of the Tarot. Also, maybe the shaming and abuse of men gets submerged under the legitimate and triggered outburst of women? Hey, we’re all people, and people who take their shit out on people? Nope, not just ignoring that anymore. Triggers occur, though my hope is that I can share here in a way for others to benefit from my experience. There is no higher ground when attacked, though their is Empathic Silence There’s a Maybe you should have vetted your victim better. ’cause you’re going to get dropped right back… by no reaction at all. It tends to deposit the incendiaries back where they came from. And, without judgment. As Robin Williams expressed, Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always. Sometimes, it’s the people who are the worst that need an ear the most. Empathic Silence may provide a perspective of being heard that someone has not received before. Still be mindful of dangerous situations of course.
First off people have asked me about my actionable, what I did before the Brainspotting Therapy began to provide relief and unfolding. People have asked me WHAT I did I do when I came to the realization that first my creativity, then my imagination outright full-boat, had desiccated and gone away to some unknown place within? What, did I, as an Architect, Tarot Reader and Author, Astrologist, Painter, and Poet do when I was bathing in the horrendous fear of having no longer having my primary tools, creativity and imagination, none of what I needed to do my work?

Well. I was terrified. HOW am I going to pull off all my career(s) when I only have problem-solving left?!!!! Dafuq? Or, is it it, Dafuq! ?? I can’t be an Archetypal Cosmologist without… Oh, STOP whining. COOL, though not the way someone typically compromises to sync. I decided to… Well, 1st to squelch that Manager Part inside that chastised me for whining. One should treat oneself better than that. Not acceptable. Give me workability or give me you’re gone. None of that half-baked shame stuff. Too gooey, like Briar Patch Gumbo. No thank you.
What did I do when the across-the-board scale of the Imagination and Creativity pair not-so-suddenly disappeared?
Well, I cried. Literally. And, that clued me in. I suddenly was aware that I was crying, and the perspective of having perspective while in the thick of it… it showed me the larger place I had entered… being able to discern my place and feelings WHILE emoting. And, I decided to do something about it to address the long-form I HAVE NO CLUE HOW LONG THIS WILL LAST. Though, it feels like a lasting night. Queue in the movie, Pitch Black. I decided to MAKE SURE that I didn’t lose that, too. So, I put a stop to the desiccation. Creativity and imagination were enough to lose. I’m not letting this go any further. Now that I noticed in my numbness… So, I decided to watch music 1 hour of music videos twice a day where the voice an/or music brought on the ablution tingle cascade in my body and/or turn on the tear duct spigot. Simple. Deceptively simple. Yup, I was dying. And, more yup, I’m going to die going THAT way. It only took 6 months of that to turn the tide to go the other way. That began the Long Road Home.
Before and during and since I took the bull by the horns when I began Brainspotting counseling… Though, what, as a laymen, did I I do before?What did I do during and after when creativity and imagination were MIA? Well, I cried. And, I made damn sure I cried every single morning and every single night as I outlined above. It was a discipline of the ritual to use what was left or lose it. Soul Gardener came on line to help.
If I couldn’t have creativity or its over-arching sanctuary that is imagination, one thing was for sure: I am NOT going to lose my feelings. So, morningly, and nightly I implemented the plan above with, I may no longer have creativity or imagination, though I’ll be damned if I leave that to Fate. I’ve almost died too many times to give up. So, I didn’t. I drew in a new discipline of the ritual: Cry every morning; cry every night.
So, what did I do to make sure, how did I dial in the crying? With joy. American Idol and The Voice audition videos were a great start. The ones that give you cascade tingles of ablution, and if that happens follow that person’s videos through to…. wherever they went… or the vids that were then suggested or over on the right from which to choose. Sound too simple? Well, try not having creativity or imagination due to PTSD from sucking on the poison teet of a Sociopathic Narcissist for which I can only hold myself responsible for the poor relationship choice that I stayed in of my own accord. No victims allowed —that should be a sign.

I Prefer
I prefer to reveal character and keep my boundaries on a workout regimen to both train people how to treat me, as well as enhance, reinforce, and strengthen them. Them, meaning my own character of identity, and them meaning other people as I feel we enhance and amplify one another as we stretch together experiencing one another’s perspective.
That In
That in itself is simply one tool I use to tune the clarity of my voice and vision through action as one would tune a piano. Not nebulous at all. A little Neptunian boundarylessness, though not vague. And, maybe not even a tool at all as more often than not it’s simply how I operate. Practice 10,000 kicks and cool, though so what? Practice one kick 10,000 times, and the mind forgets as the body remembers. Things focused on and immersed in or with integrate things naturally. That’s why it erodes people over time to stay in negative or toxic environments, regardless of how centered they are. Water conforms to its cup. You get shaped. Shit spatters, and that stuff gets in.

Heck, even fear and stress are solid navigation tools when not allowed to be hijacked by anxiety which distorts it into being afraid. DUCK! Yep, glad I listened. Fear can be like radar, like a cone zone on the highway. No need to drive through the cones and off the portion of the bridge that’s out. Well, if you have a flying car… Otherwise, that’s on you.

And, FEAR, like the butterflies in the stomach before a speech kind of fear that’s really your body warming you up, your nerves reaching out, your nerves engaged in preparation for activity. Your anxiety will never tell you you are in danger, because anxiety is what will get you in danger in the 1st place. Fear doesn’t step in the pothole twice. The next time, fear will walk you around a different way never to engage that pothole again.
